Week 8 - Central Australia Escape

Weeks 8 of my 52 weeks of Creative Madness looks at my AMAZING travels to Uluru, Kata Tjuta and Alice Springs located in Central Australia.

Uluru is probably Australia’s best-known natural landmark. The ancient monolith is pretty impressive close up and boasts intriguing statistics. Uluru is better known as Ayers Rock. The rock was created over some 600 million years, and the Aborigines have been in the area for the last 10,000 years. It originally sat at the bottom of a sea, but today stands 348m above ground. Uluru lies west of the Simpson Desert, not far from the ‘Red Centre’ of Australia.

Here are some amazing photos from the beauty.....

Kata Tjuta is the companion to Uluru (or Ayers Rock) in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. A collection of monoliths rather than a single entity, it resides to the west of Uluru.

 Different days different colours.....
That's what beauty is all about.
Cannot wait to paint my experience!!!!
